Description

The Trapezium Cluster in M42. A very cool experiment I did using a planetary camera, to freeze the seeing and resolve the bright trapezium in Orion. A planetary camera has a super high frame rate and a tiny sensor, that allowed me to get a closer view and to shoot very fast subs to capture the seeing wobbling and later stack only the best of the best.

In total I captured 6000 x 0.200ms subs, and stacked 5% using Astro Pixel Processor. I think the result is quite cool and you can see many interesting features that usually are too small and too bright.
